Heat Pump: Apartment residents clean up energy

Across Europe, in apartment buildings no matter big and small, new and old, people are enjoying the benefits of heat pump installation which have brought both more comfort and clean energy consumption.

According to the studies, countries from Ireland to Belgium to Germany are sharing a vision of bringing clean heat to a high rise building and helping it decarbonize, which is a global development trend and policies for different industries . The main tell is clean heating and cooling via heat pumps, from sea water to geothermal and the outside air. They feature project partners identifying the right type of bigger or smaller heat pump that would best work in the available space, even on the building roof.

The benefits of heat pumps are a lot: from huge energy bill savings to massive emissions reductions.

To build on this, more and more countries urge national and local authorities to communicate clearly how heat pumps work for all application and building types.

It is also essential that the EU regulations have stronger impact to heating and cooling choices today, which contains the right elements to support a large scale heat pump installation in all types of buildings and applications. To ensure the EU’s heat pump targets are met, corporations are calling for long-term ambition on heat pumps to be spelled out by decision-makers. This should be reinforced through consistent policies.  It’s also essential to boost skills and training, as well as R&D, and make clean heating the financially most attractive choice.

To have same pace with the EU associations, E-Top has also been dedicated to the decarbonize control R&D in the past years.
